The BTS and MRT are both great, but one thing a lot of people miss is the Chao Phraya River boats! They’re a super fun way to get around, especially if you’re visiting the Grand Palace or Wat Arun. The boat ride gives you a totally different view of the city, and it’s cheap too. I used public transport most of the time, but the boats were a nice break from the crowds. And if you do need a ride at night when the trains stop running, Grab is probably your best bet—it’s like Uber, and prices are reasonable.
