voco Well: The Art of Rest Well is a two-hour sleep talk and sound bath in Bangkok on Sunday, 25 October 2026, at voco Bangkok Surawong in Silom, from 1,599 THB per person if you book by 20 October.
Let’s be honest: Bangkok is not a city that does early nights. Between the traffic, the 2 a.m. 7-Eleven runs and “just one more” rooftop drink, a lot of us (locals, expats and jet-lagged visitors alike) are running on fumes. So when a sleep doctor and a sound bath team take over a Silom hotel ballroom for a Sunday, we pay attention.
voco Well is a collaboration between Stillwave, a Thai wellness experience brand, and voco Bangkok Surawong. Think of it as two hours of pressing the reset button: a talk on the science of sleep, a break from your phone, some guided breathing, and then a sound bath where you lie back on a proper mattress topper and let the singing bowls do the work. Fair warning: you might need a gentle nudge when it’s over.

What is voco Well?
voco Well is a two-hour, multi-sensory rest experience built around one idea from Stillwave: resting well is about more than sleep. It starts with understanding your body and making room to properly pause. Over the session, you move from learning about sleep to switching off from the digital world, back to your breath, and finally into stillness through sound.
Here’s how the two hours flow:
- Welcome and settling in. Arrive, find your spot, exhale.
- The Science of Better Sleep. A talk by a sleep medicine specialist from Chulalongkorn Hospital.
- Digital pause. Yes, the phone goes away.
- Mindful breathing. A guided transition from thinking to resting.
- Sound into Stillness. Stillwave’s sound bath, lying down in full comfort.
- Quiet reflection and refreshments. Cold-pressed juices and wholesome canapés to round it off.
The Science of Better Sleep: a sleep doctor’s session
The afternoon (or morning) opens with Asst. Prof. (Special) Natamon Charakorn, M.D., a specialist in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery and sleep medicine at Chulalongkorn Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society. In other words: not a wellness influencer, an actual sleep doctor from one of Bangkok’s biggest hospitals.
Her session covers why sleep matters, how the body’s circadian rhythm works, the sleep problems that city dwellers commonly run into, and practical ways to set yourself up for a better night. If you’ve just flown in from Europe and your body insists it’s lunchtime at 2 a.m., the circadian rhythm part is basically written for you.

In a city that never really switches off, two hours of learning how to rest might be the most Bangkok thing you do all month.
Sound into Stillness: the sound bath
After a digital pause and some mindful breathing, it’s time for the main event. “Sound into Stillness” is Stillwave’s sound bath, bringing together sound, vibration and stillness to help body and mind slow down. Never tried one? You don’t need to do anything except lie back, close your eyes and listen while the bowls and gongs fill the room.
Stillwave was founded by Asst. Prof. Dr. Taechit Cheuypoung, known as “AA”, who is the brand’s founder and sound experience artist, and Thippailin Boontaveesuksan, known as “Saly”, co-founder and experience curator. Together they design experiences that link sound, stillness and the senses.

The comfort side is taken seriously too. You’ll be lying on Lotus Mattress’s Japanese-inspired Ayame Cloud Topper, with a Cottonism pillow and a Hands-Free blanket from LOTUS ATTITUDE. Our tip: wear something loose and comfy, because you’ll want to sink right in.
Scent, snacks and all five senses
The event artwork sums it up in five words: sleep, sound, silence, scent, nourish. Scent comes from PHUTAWAN, whose “SCENT · INNER · CONNECTION” concept uses natural fragrances as a bridge back to your feelings, memories and nature. Scent branding specialist SĒN carries the fragrance through the whole space, so sound, scent and mood blend into one experience.

And because nobody rests well on an empty stomach, every guest gets wellness-themed refreshments: cold-pressed fruit juices and wholesome canapés designed to match the theme.
Say hello to the voco mascots
Keep an eye out for voco Bangkok Surawong’s three bird mascots, who star in the event artwork and each seem to have picked their favourite part of the day. The owl has clearly nailed the sleep part, the flamingo (rainbow legs and all) is here for the pastries, and the little grey finch has taken charge of the singing bowl. Honestly, relatable.

The venue: voco Bangkok Surawong
voco Bangkok Surawong sits on Surawong Road, a few steps from Silom, with Sathorn’s business district and Siam’s malls close by. Surawong has long been a neighbourhood where old Bangkok meets the modern city, and the hotel leans into that with voco’s warm, unstuffy style of hospitality and plenty of thoughtful details. The event takes place in the hotel’s Tawanna Ballroom.
Insider tip: the hotel is about a 7-minute walk from MRT Sam Yan and 8 minutes from BTS Sala Daeng, so skip the Sunday taxi and take the train. Lumphini Park is around 15 minutes away on foot, which makes a slow walk under the trees a lovely way to stretch out the calm after the morning session.

Morning or afternoon: which session should you book?
Both sessions follow the same programme, so it comes down to how you like your Sundays.
- Morning, 10:00–12:00: start the day calm and carry it with you. Follow it with that walk in Lumphini Park and a relaxed lunch around Silom.
- Afternoon, 15:00–17:00: sleep in, have a lazy brunch, then head home with the sleep tips still fresh, just in time for an early night before Monday. Our pick if Saturday ran late.
Whichever you choose, book before 20 October to lock in the Early Bird rate of 1,599 THB net per person. After that it’s 1,999 THB net. “Net” in Thailand means service charge and tax are already included, so there’s nothing extra to add.
Our verdict: is voco Well worth it?
For 1,599 THB, you get a talk from a real sleep doctor, a guided sound bath on a seriously comfy setup, scent, snacks and two hours without your phone buzzing. That’s a lot of rest for less than many Bangkok spa treatments. It’s a great pick for stressed-out locals and expats, travellers trying to shake off jet lag, and anyone curious about sound baths who wants a gentle first try.
Just keep in mind it’s a group experience. If you have a specific sleep problem, the talk is a great starting point, but a one-on-one consultation is the place to get personal advice.
Ready for a proper rest?
